Imagination can sometimes seem limitless. However, it is limited by the implied boundaries of physical production. An imaginary idea needs to be explored with the realization that it can only become real if it can exist in reality. As such, the boundaries of a canvas can limit the creative flow, that is why many artists have ventured past the canvas, only to be confronted by other limitations of reality.
